Welsh language broadcaster S4C has ordered "Tŷ FFIT" ("FFIT house"), an 8 x 60-minute health transformation series produced by Cwmni Da. The show will give five individuals the opportunity to transform their physical and mental health over a period of two months.

The series is an evolution of the popular S4C series, "FFIT Cymru", that was based on the Transformation Nation format from RTÉ. Siwan Haf, Series Producer "Tŷ FFIT”/Cwmni Da said: "We can't wait to open the doors of the 'Tŷ FFIT' wellness retreat for five lucky people as part of this new exiting format for S4C. It's a real honour to be working on a health transformation format, following on from my previous experience as a Series Producer on 'FFIT Cymru' over the last six years. This will be Cwmni Da, the UK's first employee-owned production company's biggest fixed rig series. We're all looking forward to seeing the physical and mental transformations happening weekly in front of our eyes in this new original format."

In "Tŷ FFIT", the participants will be encouraged to transform their lives with the help of mentors during a stay at a retreat, as they take a break from the stress of everyday life. The series will be filmed in October 2024 and will be available to watch on S4C, S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer in 2025.

Sioned Geraint, Tŷ FFIT Commissioner for S4C, said: “I’m delighted that S4C have been able to commission 'Tŷ FFIT' which has grown out of 'FFIT Cymru'. We hope that by using a fixed rig format our viewers will be able to immerse themselves in the journey our contributors will be taking and hopefully be inspired themselves to look at their health and wellbeing."
