The deal includes the distribution of Paramount+ to all Canal+ subscribers, and nine Paramount linear channels, as well as the acquisition of premium Paramount content exclusively for CANAL+ Group channels and services.
The ad-supported plan will launch in Canada in April and in Australia in June. Premium tier will roll out across Europe, starting with France in March, followed by the UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy later this year.
Paramount+ officially marked its entry into Japan with the launch on J:COM, one of Japan’s top cable television operators and broadband internet providers, and WOWOW, the top premium pay channel in the market.
Paramount+, the global streaming service from Paramount, announced a partnership with LATAM Airlines Group to launch a Paramount+ Branded Channel on over 300 aircrafts across 148 destinations in 25 countries.
