In the face of Netflix’s increasing dominance in South Korea’s subscription OTT market, the local regulator has now approved the merger of the two Korean OTT services, TVing and Seezn.

Tving and Seezn, two major South Korean streaming services, confirmed their plans to merge, in a consolidation move which is seen as a means to counter the local dominance of Netflix.

South Korea-based platform TVing has acquired "Threesome," "Love Me," and "Honor," while Japanese outlet Wowow obtained "Hammarvik" and "Honour."
