A+E Networks recently commissioned the brand-new 10-part series, "Murder Detective with Graham Hill." The title is set to launch on Crime+Investigation. “We are thrilled to be working with Crime+Investigation and 'Graham on Murder Detective'," Executive Producer for Peninsula Television, David Harvey, said. "Crime+Investigation is the perfect home for the series, with Graham the ideal presenter. Exploring these cases has been a real revelation and we hope C+I’s audience get a unique insight into the work undertaken to uncover the truth and provide justice and answers for the victims’ families.”
Murder Detective was ordered by Dan Korn, VP of Programming at A+E Networks® UK, and Diana Carter, Commissioning Editor and Head of Talent at A+E Networks UK. "Murder Detective is a fascinating premise, and with Graham Hill at the forefront providing his unrivalled experience of criminal investigations, the series explores cases and stories in a distinctive manner that will bring a fresh outlook to our slate of premium true crime programming," Carter said. "We're confident Peninsula Television's production and Graham will be a big hit with our audience.”
Scheduled for autumn and produced by Peninsula Television, "Murder Detective with Graham Hill" will see Hill bring his 30-year experience to a brand-new series that seeks to shed new light on the inner workings, twists and turns of the investigations into ten fascinating cases. The title will introduce former Surrey Police senior detective and criminologist Graham Hill as the murder detective. In each episode, Hill pairs his detective methodology with forensic science and insider knowledge to provide audiences with his expert understanding of how the cases were finally cracked. The episodes will also include key witness testimonies, new interviews, forensic and psychological experts, and archive footage, to take viewers under the bonnet of modern crime-solving techniques.
Among others, Graham Hill will take viewers inside the investigations into the disappearance and murder of Henriett Szucs and Mihrican Mustafa in East London, between 2016 and 2018; the murder of dance champion Adrian Murphy after being poisoned by the date rape drug Devil’s Breath; and the murder of Sharon Birchwood in leafy Ashtead, Surrey, in December 2007. “The 10 cases covered in the series are fascinating examples of the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies in bringing ruthless and cunning perpetrators to justice," Hill said. "In the series we aim to bring viewers into the heart of the murder investigations, so they can follow the trials and tribulations faced by the police and the relatives of the victims, every step of the way.”
