The Match Factory has announced the appointment of Agathe Valentin as its new sales director, a position created to support the company’s expanding global strategy. Valentin will report to Thania Dimitrakopoulou, VP of international sales, and will be based in Brussels. Her role focuses on advancing initiatives to enhance The Match Factory's international presence.
Valentin brings nearly 20 years of experience to the position, having most recently served as director of sales at HanWay Films in the UK, a role she began in 2023. Her résumé includes leadership positions as head of sales at Les Films du Losange and Pyramide International, as well as co-founding the Paris-based sales company Totem Films in 2018.
“Welcoming Agathe to our team marks an exciting step forward for our international sales efforts,” said Dimitrakopoulou. “Her industry expertise and passion for cinema will play a vital role in driving growth. I’m eager to collaborate closely as we continue to expand our reach and showcase outstanding films.”
The appointment comes at a pivotal time for The Match Factory, which is preparing for the Sundance premiere of “Magic Farm” by Amalia Ulman and Cherien Dabis’ “All That’s Left Of You.” The company also plans to present a robust lineup at next month’s Berlinale.
