Independent distributor All3Media International has signed a new multi-genre deal with Directv, as the Latin American broadcaster signed rights to two premium royal-themed documentaries and new Two Brothers Pictures’ thriller “Angela Black,” alongside renewing a range of returning dramas.

Following this new pan-territory deal covering Latin America, “Diana,” a definitive 90’ portrait of the princess from 72 Films for ITV, is heading to the region. It is joined by Spun Gold’s one-hour ITV special “Harry & William: What Went Wrong,” an insightful and candid look at the breakdown in the brothers’ relationship.

Directv has also acquired Hitchcockian thriller “Angela Black”. Created by multi-award-winning Two Brothers Pictures for ITV, the six-part drama stars Golden Globe winner Joanne Froggatt as the eponymous Angela Black. This latest deal adds to a raft of recently announced presales for the drama, which has been picked up in the United States, Canada, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and throughout Europe.

A roster of returning dramas from All3Media International have also been renewed by Directv, including new seasons of “Back to Life,” “Innocent” and “Van der Valk”.

“We’re very pleased to collaborate with Directv once again on this brand-new deal covering both non-scripted and scripted titles. The British Royal Family continue to fascinate a global audience, and we know these timely documentaries from acclaimed production teams will prove a popular addition to Directv’s schedules. We also look forward to seeing ‘Angela Black’ become the latest intriguing new thriller to grip Latin American audiences, accompanied by much-anticipated new instalments from a host of premium dramas,”  said Janel Downing, VP Latin America at All3Media International.

“All3Media International has become one of our most trusted sources of premium content. ‘Angela Black,’ produced by Two Brothers, meets our goal of providing our viewers the best in scripted series, while the Royal documentaries satisfies the public’s need to know everything concerning the world’s most talked about British family,”  added Willard Tressel, General Manager of OnDirectv.
