“We’re very pleased to announce these latest promotions and hires at our Singapore office as we continue to build on the success of our diverse multi-genre portfolio across the Asia Pacific region. 2021 saw our scripted formats going from strength to strength, our scripted tape sales increasing as we met demand from newly launched VOD platforms, and our high-quality entertainment slate attracting many new local adaptations. Promoting Kit and Alexander recognizes their fantastic contribution to this success and welcoming Amanda and Ellice to the team puts us in a great position to take our premium television content to even more new clients and new viewers throughout this vibrant market, Sabrina Duguet, All3media's EVP Asia Pacific, said.
Moreover, ZEE5, India’s largest home-grown video streaming platform and multilingual storyteller for multiple entertainment seekers, will be the home to the Indian adaptation of the UK hit drama "CHEAT" – aka "Mithya". Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with Rose Audio Visual Production and directed by Rohan Sippy, Mithya, a 6-part series, features a compelling cast led by Huma Qureshi and Avantika Dassani and supported by Parambrata Chatterjee, Rajit Kapur, and Samir Soni in pivotal roles.
Amanda Pe of All3Media International’s APAC team said: “This brilliant new execution of Cheat, our drama that pits a female University lecturer against her startlingly bright female student, marks a first for us at All3Media International working with Applause Entertainment. Mithya has garnered outstanding talent in its production and the results look quite amazing. This is a story that Indian audiences will surely love.”
“The show marks our first production with All3Media International," Sameer Nair, CEO of Applause Entertainment, added. "We love to entertain audiences and in 'Cheat' we found the perfect format, a thrilling psychological drama offering brilliant roles for female talent and set in an educational universe, a story that resonates with Indian audiences."
