Independent distributor All3media International has signed a range of new scripted deals for Studio Lambert’s latest thriller “The Nest,” as the five-part drama heads to Asia, America and Europe.

Starring Martin Compston, Sophie Rundle and Mirren Mack, “The Nest” is set to air in the USA, Canada and Latin America on AMC Networks’ streaming service Acorn TV on July 13. Viewers in Scandinavia will be able to see the show on pay TV channel C More, and a deal for Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia has been concluded with BBC Global Channels. In Europe, Spain’s Comunidad Filmin has secured rights to air “The Nest” on its SVOD service.

Produced by Studio Lambert, the emotional thriller “The Nest” made its debut on BBC One in the UK in March. From BAFTA and RTS award-winning writer Nicole Taylor, the 5x60’ drama currently ranks as the UK’s fifth highest rated drama for Adults 16-34 this year so far.

“We’re delighted that we have been able to close a raft of deals so quickly for ‘The Nest,’ a premium primetime drama that we know will keep audiences hooked wherever it airs. A truly suspenseful thriller exploring love, trust and the cost of being able to buy whatever you want, ‘The Nest’ features outstanding performances from Martin Compston, Sophie Rundle and newcomer Mirren Mack, alongside a skilfully layered story from the acclaimed Nicole Taylor. We look forward to confirming more deals globally as we continue to roll the drama out to our international buyers,”  said Maartje Horchner, EVP Content at All3media International.

“The Nest” centres on a wealthy couple and a teenage girl who make a pact that will change all their lives forever. Dan and Emily are crazy about each other. They live in a huge house in a beautiful location just outside Glasgow and want for nothing. All that’s missing is a baby – and they’ve been trying for years. Through a chance encounter they meet Kaya, an 18-year-old from the other side of the city, whose life is as precarious at theirs is comfortable. When Kaya agrees to carry their baby, it feels like they were meant to meet – but was it really by chance? Who is Kaya and what has brought her to this couple? Can the dreams of Kaya, Emily and Dan be fulfilled, or have all three embarked on a relationship of mutually assured destruction?
