Hannah Griffiths has joined Banijay in the newly created role of Head of Adaptations. Reporting to Banijay UK CEO and Executive Chairman, Patrick Holland, she will be responsible for supporting scripted labels across the group in sourcing IP, with a specific focus on seeking new opportunities with rights holders as well as covering books, podcasts and other media rights for development. Her IP advice will also be available to producers across Banijay international territories.

With over 20 years’ experience in book publishing, she has held positions at Curtis Brown, Faber and Faber and All3Media. In 2016, Hannah joined All3Media in the role of Head of Literary Acquisitions, with a brief to identify and option material for producers within the group.

Prior to this, Hannah was at Faber and Faber as an editor, where she curated a list of prize-winning writers including Rachel Cusk, Eimear McBride, Max Porter, and Miriam Toews, amongst others. Later, she took up the role of Publisher of Fiction and Backlist, working with the authors and estates that define Faber and Faber’s extraordinary list of literary greats – from Kazuo Ishiguro to PD James, Sylvia Plath to Claire Keegan, William Golding to Mario Vargas Llosa.

“With our exceptional levels of investment in the UK Scripted business over the last 18 months, Banijay is keen to provide our producers with the very best support. Hannah is a unique creative, able to identify and help secure the very best IP (literary, cinema and factual) for the different companies who wish to work with her. I am delighted she has chosen Banijay for the next chapter in her career,”  Patrick Holland said.

“I am delighted to be joining Banijay at such an exciting time. The opportunity to work across a group of such stellar scripted indies was irresistible,”  Hannah Griffiths added.
