Banijay Studios France and Shine Fiction to merge and form Scripted Powerhouse

Operating as Shine Fiction and led by Chairman Dominique Farrugia; with Chief Operating Officer, Guillaume Thouret, the offering will concentrate on premium series for local linear and global streaming partners.

From Series Mania in Lille, Banijay France announced it is uniting Banijay Studios France and Shine Fiction, to create an elevated scripted force in the region. Operating as Shine Fiction and led by Chairman Dominique Farrugia; with Chief Operating Officer, Guillaume Thouret, the offering will concentrate on premium series for local linear and global streaming partners.

Fostering Shine Fiction’s ambition and Banijay Studio France’s long-standing heritage in bold storytelling, the expanded label bolsters Banijay France’s position as a powerful contender in the international scripted landscape.

Shine Fiction now houses some of France’s most standout dramas, including global success "Marie Antoinette," which has sold to over 140 markets via Banijay Rights, and has just debuted its second series on Canal+. Other major titles include highly-anticipated Apple TV+-series "Carême," and upcoming titles: comedy-crime series "The Family Detective" (TF1), thriller "Rien ne t’efface" (TF1), and mysterious coming-of-age drama "Désenchantées" (France TV).

Shine Fiction boasts a leading team of producers including Chanelle Bernard, Stéphanie Chartreux, Carole Della Valle, and Soizic Gelbard, who bring extensive experience and distinct creative perspectives to the new structure.

Banijay France is home to the industry’s best local and international talent, and boasts an ever-growing portfolio of premium, high-impact content, with upcoming titles like Alain Goldman’s "Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight" from Montmartre Film for Netflix and Montmartre, a co-production between Authentic Productions and TF1.
