Producer and distributor Banijay announced the appointment of Antonia Gilham as Group Director, Music & Secondary Rights. Reporting to Chief Commercial Officer, Owain Walbyoff, who overseas its Banijay Brands operations, she will lead the setting and executing of Banijay’s global strategy in this space.
In her new role, she will provide full-service support for parts of Banijay’s 22-territory footprint, in addition to overarching strategic guidance for the vast majority of the group’s 120+ production labels globally. Identifying key opportunities via the business’ growing IP pipeline, she will also concentrate on new avenues for commercial growth.
Prior to joining Banijay, Gilham was VP of Music at app and game developer/publisher Gismart. Working on music strategy across both owned and third-party IP, she oversaw extensive licensing, influencer and social media deals, as well as the department’s relevant marketing strategies and campaigns. A strong negotiator, she was previously General Manager for Music Publishers Association, where she led on developing and implementing a strategic plan for the MPA Group of Companies and wider music publishing industry. She has also held roles at Musixmatch, Sony Music Entertainment and PRS for Music, as well as fulfilling various consulting roles.
