BANIJAY NAMES PETER LANGENBERG AS THE COO OF THE COMPANY

The media executive will oversee Banijay Brands and IT for the UK, India, Benelux, Russia, and Poland. He has worked for Banijay since November 2016 and previously served as Executive Director of Operations for Endemol Shine.

Banijay confirmed the addition of its new COO Peter Langenberg. who is set to complete its central leadership team structure. “Peter has been a key figure for Banijay in the acquisition process and subsequent integration,” Chief Executive Officer, Marco Bassetti said. “A valued member of our exec team, he is now at the forefront of our operations worldwide, leading a number of departments and a vast proportion of our footprint.”

Langenberg will now have operational responsbility over Banijay Brands and IT for the UK, India, Benelux, Russia, and Poland. “Not only is he a great asset for the business but his appointment marks the completion of building an incredibly talented central leadership team,” Bassetti said.

The media executive joined Banijay as COO in November 2016 and has since served as Head of Operations across the global footprint, He is responsible for creating partnerships and increasing development opportunities. Before joining, he worked as VP of Business Management at Warner Bros International TV Production from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, he was COO for R&D Media Holding and 3 Circles Media Holding.

The Banijay exec also spent ten years with Endemol Shine, where first served as Executive Director of Operations for Latin America and later for the entire Endemol Group. Before departing from the company, he took on a role of Managing Director Entertainment for Endemol Nederland B.V. He played a curcial role in the acquisition of Endemol Shine Group and has since led the integration efforts worldwide in terms of talent and systems, in partnership with Bassetti, to whom he reports. “The acquisition of Endemol marked a significant shift in scale for us as a business and with that comes vast opportunity and innovation, as we look to pull together the strengths of both organizations,” Langenberg said. “While the integration has long been underway, we continue to assess the new needs of the business to marry the best talent and systems and looking to 2021, we are all confident we’ll be operationally strong, with the best people and products in place to drive quality and efficiency across the board.”
