BBC and ZDF entered partnership with a focus on high end drama

The broadcasters have already commissioned two shows together, the spy thriller "Honey," and the second series of the mystery thriller co-produced with Netflix, "A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder."

The BBC and ZDF announced a new partnership which will support producers to create ambitious scripted content for both PSBs with a focus on high end drama. The broadcasters have already commissioned two shows together – the recently announced "Honey," a new flirty spy thriller from Sid Gentle Films Ltd, and the second series of "A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder," the YA mystery thriller co-produced with Netflix and made by Moonage Pictures.

The collaboration will maximise the strengths of two of Europe’s leading public service broadcasters, combining ZDF's pan European co-production know-how with the BBC's track record of hugely popular and award-winning scripted titles. It will provide production companies with the opportunity to easily work with two major European broadcasters, creatively aligning from the outset.
