BBC Studios' “Dancing With The Stars” format returns to Colors in India

The tenth season of the title produced by BBC Studios India Production is based on the global format, "Dancing With The Stars," which has been licensed in 60 countries.

BBC Studios unveiled “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’s” return to Colors as Viacom18 makes an effort to strengthen its non-fiction lineup. The title is scheduled to premiere on 3rd September at 8 pm. “'Dancing with the Stars' is a sterling example of how our formats have the power to travel and connect with a global audience,” Sameer Gogate, General Manager, BBC Studios India, said. “‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ has anchored itself as a widely acclaimed celebrity dance show. I am confident that its popularity will continue to soar as it returns on Colors. The new season promises to elevate the entertainment quotient with exceptional acts and performances. Produced by BBC Studios India Production and based on the BBC Studios global format "Dancing With The Stars," the 10th season of “Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa.”  Remitly Money Transfer is the Presenting Sponsor and Southall Travel is the Travel Partner on the show. The format, “Dancing With The Stars”  has been licensed in 60 countries, with 420 seasons and over 4,000 episodes worldwide. In the U.S., it celebrated 30 seasons in 2021 and has been recognized with 18 Emmy Awards. “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has been recognized as one of the most loved celebrity dance shows of the country, and after a hiatus of 5 years, it is now set to return,” Manisha Sharma, Chief Content Officer, Hindi Mass Entertainment, Viacom18, said. “ The show offers a great platform for celebrities from different walks of life to experience a unique journey through dance. The show will showcase a line-up of contestants and choreographers. Its selected judges include Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Karan Johar, and Nora Fatehi. Maniesh Paul will return as the host.
