The German company Beta Film announced the expansion into new territories for "Wisting" (26x 1h), the series acclaimed by The Guardian as "the best Nord-noir ever." The group has sold the third season of crime series to SBS Australia, Warner Bros. Discovery for Max in Latin America, AMC Spain and Portugal, and Antenna Greece. Four episodes will premiere on Viaplay later this month. The second half of the season starring internationally acclaimed Shelley Conn ("Bridgerton", "Good Omens", "Generation V") will air in Scandinavia later this year.

Produced by Viaplay Studios Norway in co-production with Cinenord and ARD Degeto, "Wisting" has been  successful in its previous seasons, including being one of the most watched fiction programs on ARD's streaming service.

In the new season, a young boy disappears from his family's hotel. Then an employee with close ties to the family is found murdered. William Wisting and his colleagues are under immense pressure to solve the murder and find the boy before it's too late. Wisting is soon drawn into another case when a mysterious letter arrives. It leads him to a possible miscarriage of justice in an old murder case.
