The Mexican remake of “Black Money Love” (Kara Para Aşk), the successful Turkish Drama distributed worldwide by Inter Medya, is launching on Mexico’s Las Estrellas on September 14, and on Univision in the United States on September 21. Additionally, Univision will be presenting the production in the virtual exhibition of The Paley Center for Media, which will take place during the National Hispanic Heritage Month, with special appearances by Giselle González and the stars of the new series. Boasting a star-studded cast, the adaptation will be named “Empire of Lies” and will consist of 80 episodes.

Since its premiere in Turkey, “Black Money Love” has been licensed to more than 170 territories worldwide by Inter Medya. Featuring a strong cast including Engin Akyürek and Tuba Büyüküstün, the series originally aired on Turkish television for two seasons in 2014 and 2015. “Black Money Love” tells the dramatic love story of Ömer, a police officer that is dying to find the truth behind the murder of his fiancée, and Elif, who is eager to learn her family’s deepest secrets.
