Turkish series “Woman,” one of the most successful titles from the catalog of Calinos Entertainment, will start to meet with the audience in the United States on May 15 as “Mujer” in Univision’s primetime.
Produced by Medyapim/MF Yapim and starring Ozge Ozpirincci, “Woman” tells the survival story of Bahar, a young widow with two children. Throughout her life, she lost her parents and grandparents, then her husband. With her children Nisan and Doruk, Bahar will try to turn life into a game, poverty into fun, and absence into joy.
As the first Turkish TV series broadcasted in primetime on a Western European national channel, and being initially aired on Fox in Turkey, “Woman” has reached more than 1 million viewers via Spain’s Antena 3 and has made a tremendous impact in the countries it was aired.
Adapted from the Japanese drama of the same title, “Woman” will continue to support the “women empowerment” in the United States after Spain, France and more than 90 countries around the globe, according to Calinos Entertainment.
