CBC & Radio-Canada Distribution announces that the successful Canadian drama series "Après" ("After") will be available next summer to US audiences on Topic, the fast-growing streaming service from First Look Entertainment.

"Après" was a hit on the national network Radio-canada, both on the SVOD and the linear channel. "After" (6x60’) explores the aftermath of a tragic event in a small rural town in Quebec. The story begins within seconds of a fatal event and depicts the physical, psychological, and social consequences of a tragedy that is far too common today, but often unforeseen and unavoidable.

“As gripping as it is emotional, 'after' resonates and inspires audiences across the globe and we are extremely proud to have found the right partner to bring this story of community and perseverance to the American viewing audiences,” noted Mia Desroches, Director of Global Distribution, Scripted.

The series is produced by Duo Productions, stars Karine Vanasse ("Pan Am") and is directed by Louis Choquette ("19-2"). “Duo Productions is very proud to see its series 'AFTER' traveling outside Canada on Topic streaming platform”, commented Hugo d’Astous, Head of International Development Duo Productions. “DUO had the privilege and honour, once again, to gather some of Quebec’s best creative minds behind this audacious and stunning series.”

Jennifer Liang, VP of Acquisitions at Topic hailed, "We’re very excited to bring our second Québecois production to Topic and complement our growing collection of elevated french-language thrillers. 'Après' masterfully explores perspectives and the dark corners of how everyday life is affected after an unspeakable tragedy, but perseveres with hope".
