The country has increased its appeal as a top filming destination with the updated MAR 2024 (Resource Allocation Manual), streamlining incentives under Law 1556. Key improvements include a pre-registration system for frequent producers, increased budget flexibility, and better support for short-format productions. These updates simplify processes, reduce costs, and reinforce Colombia’s status as a premier hub for audiovisual production.

This cultural momentum continues on the global stage, as on April 30, Carnegie Hall’s Nuestros Sonidos festival will present the documentary "La Salsa Vive" at the SVA Theatre, exploring the profound musical ties between New York and Cali, widely recognized as the world’s salsa capital. Featuring legends like Rubén Blades, Henry Fiol, and Willie Rosario, the film will be followed by a live concert, immersing audiences in the rhythms that connect these two cultural powerhouses.
