MEGA MAX MEDIA announces a new FAST carriage agreement for its toddler channel, ducktv in Italy. Mega Max Media's free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel and Video On Demand (VOD) content package have recently launched on Agile TV, a new hybrid TV service in Italy. As part of the agreement, Convergenze and Tiscali will integrate Agile TV’s advanced technology directly into its services, allowing subscribers to access the new TV platform as part of their existing telecom packages. With this collaboration, both companies aim to capitalize on the growing demand for innovative, flexible TV solutions in Italy’s evolving OTT and IPTV landscape.
ducktv is uniquely designed to cater to the developmental needs of children aged 6 months to 4 years, offering 100% educational content. Branded as "television for absolute beginners," the content features original animations, soothing music, and a language-free approach. This carefully curated edutainment content provides a secure and enriching environment for children, making it an ideal choice for both at-home and on-the-go viewing experiences.
Iza Piotrowska, Director of Affiliate Sales and Business Development at Mega Max Media, commented, “Italy, as one of the EU5 markets, represents a strategic and promising territory for our growth in the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) space. The country's dynamic media landscape and increasing adoption of streaming services present a fantastic opportunity for us to expand our footprint. We already have several FAST agreements in place in the country, and the meaningful viewership and engagement metrics we have seen validate the demand for our content. We eagerly anticipate the opportunities the strategic partnership with Agile TV will bring us and are excited about the future growth and success of our content in this vibrant market.”
Agile Content is also impatient to kick off the project, saying “we are very excited with this project, with the possibility to work with such an interesting market as the Italia, specially with these companies which are references in the field.”
