International distributor Eccho Rights has closed deals with three major European broadcasters for Swedish drama series “Threesome”. In detail, Channel 4 acquired it for its free streaming service All 4 in the UK; RTL Passion took it in Germany, and Canal+ bought it in France.

Winning universal acclaim from critics, “Threesome” ranks as the highest scoring Swedish drama ever according to review aggregator kritiker.se. The Yellow Bird-produced drama launched earlier this year on Nordic Entertainment Group’s Viaplay.

Telling the story of a young Swedish couple living in London and going through fundamental changes in their once perfect relationship, “Threesome” stars a young international cast including Matilda Källström, Simon Lööf, Lucien Laviscount, and Alma Jodorowsky. The series is written and directed by Lisa Linnertorp.

“‘Threesome’ is a series that speaks straight to the heart. Its themes of insecurity, heartbreak, lust and jealousy are truly universal and have made it hugely appealing to international buyers,”  said Lucy Roberts, Director of Sales for Western Europe at Eccho Rights.
