Electric Entertainment hired Barry Chamberlain as Chief Operating Officer

Former CBS and Paramount Executive will Lead Company’s Operations. Barry will report directly to Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment.

Electric Entertainment, the Los Angeles-based production and distribution company, announced that Barry Chamberlain, former CBS and Paramount executive, has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer. Barry will lead day-to-day operations, manage department heads and staff, and provide strategic guidance, among many other leadership responsibilities.

As COO of Electric Entertainment, Barry brings extensive experience in global management, revenue generation, content distribution, marketing strategies, business development, mergers and acquisitions, and integration—skills that will be crucial for guiding the company toward further expansion. He will oversee the company’s daily operations, lead key initiatives, and implement company-wide strategies. Additionally, Barry will spearhead projects and manage staff, budgets, and consultants to achieve organizational goals.

His responsibilities will also include managing corporate governance, overseeing human resources, collaborating with CFO Jeff Gonzalez on bank relationships, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and establishing policies and procedures for productions. Furthermore, he will supervise the operational functions of Electric’s full-service production studio. Barry will report directly to Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment.

Barry spent 21 years at CBS and Paramount, ending as President of Sales for Paramount Global, overseeing the international monetization of industry-leading television and feature film content from CBS, Showtime, and Paramount. He led the division’s explosive growth in annual revenues and negotiated notable multiyear content partnerships with diverse media partners, including global video-on-demand players, market-leading broadcasters, and subscription platforms. He led a top-tier global operation with a staff of more than 120 employees located across 19 countries.

Before his role as President, Barry was Senior Vice President of Sales at CBS Paramount International Television, where he oversaw sales offices for Latin America, Asia, and Australia and directly handled content licensing in Japan. He successfully integrated Paramount and CBS feature film and television content, offering over 60,000 hours into a unified international sales team. In addition, he negotiated key multiyear output deals in Australia, New Zealand, and Pan Asia. Before that, Barry was Vice President of Sales at CBS Broadcast International and earlier, Director of International Sales Planning at Universal Studios.

Barry earned a Master of Business Administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with an International Relations emphasis from UC Santa Barbara.
