Endemol Shine Group confirmed that TF1 France has acquired the psychological drama "Deadwater Fell" in a deal negotiated by Marion Vergnaud, Endemol Shine International’s Sales Director for French Speaking EMEA. Produced by Kudos and filmed entirely on location in Scotland the miniseries was created and written by Daisy Coulam (Grantchester, Humans) and directed by Lynsey Miller (The Boy with the Topknot, Eve). The all-star cast also includes Matthew McNulty (Versailles, Cleaning Up, The Terror) and Anna Madeley (Patrick Melrose, The Crown, Utopia).

Starring David Tennant (Broadchurch, Doctor Who, Good Omens) and Cush Jumbo (The Good Fight, The Good Wife, Vera), "Deadwater Fell" explores the cause and aftermath of violence and unthinkable tragedy. When a seemingly perfect and happy family is murdered by someone they know and trust, the small Scottish community they call home becomes riven with mistrust and suspicion as those closest to the family begin to question everything they thought they knew about their friends.

Sophie Leveaux, Artistic Director of Acquisitions & International Drama Development at TF1 France commented: "With its compelling story, strong cast and high production quality, 'Deadwater Fell' will be a great asset to TF1's programming. This mini-event is perfectly in line with our premium programming policy".

Mark Lawrence, Executive Director EMEA at Endemol Shine International added: "We are once again delighted to be working with TF1 on another outstanding drama such as 'Deadwater Fell'. We are sure that French audiences will be riveted by this story and by the amazing performances of this stellar cast’.
