Dreamspark and Satisfaction Group will bring the classic and universally loved boat-sinking game to primetime television with "Sea Battle" (Bataille Navale), set to launch on TF1.

Created by Moe Bennani (Dreamspark) and coproduced with Satisfaction Group, this exciting quiz show transforms the iconic pen-and-paper strategy game into a high-stakes competition. Teams will go head-to-head, answering general knowledge questions to earn shots at their rivals' boats—represented by actual human contestants on an impressive grand stage. International distribution will be handled by Dreamspark, led by Siobhan Crawford as Head of International.

Moe Bennani, CEO of Dreamspark and Executive Producer highlighted the engagement of the game show, both among participants and the general audience: 'We wanted to create a show that brings families together around a game they already love but with a fresh and thrilling twist. With Sea Battle, we’ve elevated the classic board game into a compelling TV experience filled with suspense, strategy, and excitement. Dreamspark is proud to partner with Satisfaction Group and TF1 in delivering a captivating format that not only engages contestants but also immerses viewers in every shot fired and boat sunk," commented.

Arthur Essebag, who will host this primetime show, praised the format: 'Sea Battle' is the perfect blend of strategy, suspense, and pure entertainment—bringing the thrill of the classic board game to life like never before. At Satisfaction Group, we are always looking for ways to push the boundaries of game shows, and this format does just that. With high stakes, dynamic gameplay, and a spectacular set, audiences are in for an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to set sail on this adventure!;" stated.

Finally, Julien Degroote, EVP Content Development, TF1 France, mentioned that it aligns with TF1's global strategy: 'From the very first pitch, 'Sea Battle' caught our attention. It's a game universally known to all generations. The adaptation into a TV format is visually impressive in its set-up. Imagine an XXL version of the board game, several meters high. And the gameplay is highly interactive, allowing viewers to play along a lot at home too. Sea Battle embraces the gamification trend and the wave of successful TV games aired around the globe. The show fits in perfectly with TF1’s strategy of offering family entertainment and co-viewing content," highlighted.
