After its theatrical release, “Cuando la miro,” an opera prima from prestigious Argentine actor and playwright Julio Chávez, will be launched on Prime Video for all its Latin American subscribers this August 14.
Based on a script written by Chávez and Camila Mansilla, starring Chávez and Marilu Marini, “Cuando la miro” was filmed in different locations of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was produced by Rimas Producciones along with HSVG Producciones. Tarea Fina is associate producer, and EO Media, the company directed by Ezequiel Olzanski, holds the international distribution rights.
“Cuando la miro” tells the story of Javier, a plastic artist whose life goes by uneventfully, until he undertakes a strange project: to film his mother, an enigmatic and distant woman. He is not a filmmaker and improvises this task, which will bring an unexpected connection between the two.
The film was presented at the section Punto de Encuentro de la Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid (SEMINCI). Furthermore, Julio Chávez was awarded as “Best actor” along with Marilu Marini in the 37º Festival de Cine Iberolatinoamericano celebrated at Trieste, Italy.
