Production has begun in Sydney on the new television drama “After the Verdict”. Created, written and executive produced by Subtext Pictures’ Ellie Beaumont and Drew Proffitt, the six-part series will premiere on the 9Network in Australia with Entertainment One (eOne) handling international sales.
Michelle Lim Davidson and Tess Haubrich join the previously announced Sullivan Stapleton, Magda Szubanski and Lincoln Younes in “After the Verdict’s” cast, with Virginia Gay, Emma Diaz, Richard Brancatisano, Nicholas Brown, Hazem Shammas, and Vivienne Awosoga also appearing in the series. Ellie Beaumont and Drew Proffitt are joined in the creative team by writer Romina Accurso, set up director Peter Salmon, directors Ben Lucas and Fadia Abboud, producer Jo Rooney, and executive producers Greg Sitch and 9Network Head of Drama, Andy Ryan.
“After the Verdict” follows four very different people who have just finished jury duty on a high-profile murder trial. As they return to normal life, they begin to question their verdict and take matters into their own hands, investigating the murder themselves.
