Filmarket Hub launches its annual global Screenwriting Contest for Feature Films

With a submission deadline of 16th December, this year's screenwriting contest aims to allow aspiring screenwriting creatives to showcase their work and network with others in the industry.

Filmarket Hub recently launched the 2021 edition of its screenwriting contest for English language feature films. This year's even mission is to discover fresh talent and give screenwriters and other creatives in the industry an outlet to connect. The online platform's call for submissions will remain open until 16th December. 

This year's jury will consist of Development Executive at Ruby Rock Pictures' Catherine Freeman, Development Executive at FilmNation UK's Malak El Gonemy and Literary Agent at United Talent's Mark Brennan. A winning script is set to be awarded with a 2.000€ cash prize, while the two finalists will receive 500€ each.

All the finalists will have their scripts read by the contest’s executive partners;, which include Film4 (‘The Favourite’, ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’), Lone Wolf Studios (‘Amanda Knox’, ‘Bad Hombres’), Number 9 Films (‘Carol’, ‘Youth’) and Protagonist Pictures (‘The Lobster’, ‘Cold War’).
