Global film and TV studio Fifth Season has tapped former Netflix executive Travis Webb as SVP Sales, Americas. Joining the Television Distribution team and based in the company’s LA office, Webb will spearhead sales activity for the company’s premium slate of scripted and unscripted content in the US, Canada, and Latin America markets. He will report into Fifth Season’s President of Television Distribution, Prentiss Fraser.

In his new role, Webb will also work collaboratively with Fifth Season’s Regional Sales Heads, the Scripted Television Strategy division, as well as the Acquisition team – who all form part of the Television Distribution division – to maximize revenue opportunities across the region and build Fifth Season’s slate of best-in-category content. In addition, Webb will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global non-theatrical sales group, executives in Colombia and New York, who also form part of his team and he’ll join Fifth Season’s senior Leadership Group.

“We’ve worked closely with Travis for a number of years, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have him join us – his strategic vision and expertise in understanding both the evolving needs of buyers and the unique positioning of Fifth Season as a boutique, talent-driven studio will be immensely valuable as we continue growing our distribution business globally,” said Prentiss Fraser, President of Television Distribution at Fifth Season. “Travis has a remarkable track record as a smart, commercially savvy, and intuitive industry executive, who has generated significant growth throughout his career. During his tenure at Netflix, Travis played a pivotal role in building the platform to become the juggernaut we know it to be today, curating a slate of titles along the way which closely aligns with exactly the type of talent-driven and impactful stories we’re looking to bring to audiences.”

Travis Webb added: “I am thrilled to be joining Fifth Season as it continues to grow, innovate, and produce distinct premium content. Coming from Netflix, I have a deep appreciation for new models, creative approaches and pushing boundaries, and I know Prentiss and the rest of the team at Fifth Season share these values. I look forward to working with the company's partners in the US, Canada, and Latin America, strengthening ties and leveraging the incredible slate Fifth Season has to offer.”
