Fremantle announced its partnership with Nacelle to represent the latter’s FAST channel, Comedy Dynamics. The collaboration combines Fremantle’s scale and expertise in the FAST space with Comedy Dynamics’ premium comedy programming.
Laura Florence, SVP Global Channels at Fremantle, stated: “This is a fantastic new deal for our Global Channels team and marks the very first of this kind of partnership. Nacelle is a great partner for us with its impressive, growing library of content, which we look forward to bolstering with our global teams and expertise at Fremantle."
Brian Volk-Weiss, CEO of Nacelle, added: “We’re excited to be partnering with Fremantle for our FAST channel. This partnership helps provide free top-tier stand-up comedy to the masses!”
Under this global agreement, Fremantle will support the expansion of the Comedy Dynamics Channel through its Global Sales teams, as well as Channel Marketing, Programming, Data, Partnership, and Ad Sales departments. These teams will contribute best practices for consumer engagement, marketing strategies, and performance optimization. Fremantle will also provide marketing scale, operational efficiencies, and advanced data insights to boost the channel’s growth.
Comedy Dynamics currently features over 1,000 hours of library content and holds the distinction of being the number one independent distributor of stand-up comedy. The Nacelle library includes renowned comedians such as Ali Wong, Jim Gaffigan, Tiffany Haddish, Tom Segura, and Jeff Dunham. Comedy Dynamics receives tens of millions of views across its various channels, which have been live in the U.S. since July 2019 on platforms including Roku, Pluto TV, Samsung, and LG. The partnership aims to strengthen the existing audience base and facilitate expansion across North America and additional international markets.
The deal was brokered by Kyle Harris, VP of Acquisitions, and Jason Bandy, SVP of Legal and Business Affairs for Fremantle. Representing The Nacelle Company were Anna Roberts, SVP of Distribution and Acquisitions, and Nikki Barbanell, VP of Business and Legal Affairs.
Fremantle’s Global Channels business remains one of the most expansive in the industry. In 2024, Fremantle also launched Rig TV on Roku in the U.S., now accessible on several platforms including Amazon. The channel showcases classic titles from Original Productions, such as Jay Leno’s Garage, Black Gold, Monster House, Monster Garage, and Wild Justice. The Global Channels division currently manages more than 20 FAST channels across 200 endpoints, spanning 18 territories and 25 platforms.
