The streamer expands its local slate with “Straight to Hell,” “Did Someone Happen to Mention Me?” and “Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure,” strengthening its investment in Japanese drama, comedy, and anime.

A Comedy Thing by Channel 4 debuts this month with original unscripted formats, weekly long-form shows, and social-first content, produced by Strong Watch Studios to expand the broadcaster’s growing digital portfolio.

The Commissioning Editor will work with partners in the Irish creative sector to shape an ambitious and distinctive range of comedy formats, developing new talent as well as working with established writers and performers.

The deal covers 1,000+ hours of stand-up content and aims to expand Comedy Dynamics’ reach across North America and global markets via Fremantle’s 20+ FAST channels operating on 25 platforms in 18 territories.

Season 4, produced by Longhope Media Inc., co-created and starring by Filipina comedian Isabel Kanaan, premieres in Canada May 18 on Omni 2, Omni BC & Omni Alberta.
