Garbo Produzioni hires ex Banijay executive as new CEO

Italian company Garbo Produzioni has appointed Stefano Torrisi as CEO and, in addition, as Managing Director of Garbo Stories, the new Spanish division dedicated to the production of fiction. Stefano Torrisi is an experienced executive with a profound knowledge of the TV and audiovisual sector. In recent years, he has been Commercial Director of Endemol Shine Italy and Executive Vice President of Banijay Italy and Banijay Group Spain.

Last year, Garbo Produzioni teamed up with the Spanish Lacoproductora to develop the premium series “Names of The Evil”, a horror title about Father Gabriele Amorth, Italy's most famous exorcist. The company is also well known for titles like “The Silence of Water”, “Coliandro” and “La Porta rossa”.
