ITV STUDIOS’ “LET LOVE RULE” PERFORMS STRONGLY ON BOTH LINEAR AND ON DEMAND

The show's UK version is the #1 most consumed entertainment show on ITV Hub this year so far as a direct result of the company's effort to strengthen its brand and pursue a “content-based strategy."

ITV Studios announced that its reality dating format “Let Love Rule” is seeing success around the world. In the UK, local version “The Cabins” rounded up its first season on ITV2 and achieved high ratings, both on linear tv as well as on-demand. “With its binge-factor and recurring viewership data, this format also lends itself very well for on-demand only, just as we see with Love Island in some territories, with great success, Maarten Meijs, President Global Entertainment, ITV Studios said.

The 7-day average for the entire season  is 506k viewers, making it the #2 ITV2-original show since the beginning of last year. The figures presented in the UK region are a direct result of the company's effort to strengthen its brand and pursue a “content-based strategy” with programming distributed across linear and on-demand platforms.  Across the series, viewing on ITV hub following its linear night doubled by 117% its overnight volume with catch up and on-demand viewing.

Hub viewing made up 43% of the 7-day audience of "The Cabins." Over 3.3 million hours of the title were viewed on ITV Hub, more than any other Entertainment show on the platform this year so far for the 12 Yard production. In Belgium, the show will launch on14th February on both VTM and VTM2, and will also be available on VTM Go. It will be produced by Dok1 Media.

In Sweden, the ITV Studios Sweden production was consistently in the overnight top listed shows for TV4 Play. In The Netherlands, where the format originated and is being co-produced by ITV Studios Netherlands and TEP, the show also demonstrated success, while the linear ratings continue td lead the channels’ primetime programming. The second season tripled its total number of online viewers compared to series 1 on platform KIJK. 

The show has been credited for uniting 37 love couples. with two contestants of the first season have announced their engagement. Due to its success, SBS6 decided to broadcast Let Love Rule XL episodes in addition to the daily episodes on Monday evening, starting February 15th for six weeks in the prime time slot.
