ITV Studios names Arjan Pomper Managing Director of Global Entertainment

ITV Studios recently appointed Arjan Pomper to a Managing Director’s position for its global entertainment división. His new tenure with the company is set to become effective immediately. "I am delighted that Arjan has accepted this exciting role. Global Entertainment has a key part to play in growing ITV Studios Global formats business and I am confident that under Arjan's leadership that it will continue to build on the fantastic success it has achieved to date,” Commercial Chief Officer David McGraynor said.

Pomper, who recently joined the company as a Chief Commercial Officer in September 2020 and since October of last year, will oversee a slate of 285 formats. The executive has worked alongside Kim Dingler, who Will take over the Chief Commercial Officer role on the Global Entertainment board.

The company’s slate of titles includes “The Voice,” “Love Island,” “The Chase,” “I Am A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!,” and “Come Dine With Me,” among others. The board is generally tasked with selling and monetizing  unscripted formats developed by ITV, intended for worldwide distribution.

As Managing Director, the executive will report directly to McGraynor, who Will help steer the company’s strategy focus toward global format deal growth.The company has brought popular titles, usch as “The Voice,” to 139 territories, “The Chase” to 19 territories, and “Come Dine With Me” in 45 territories. “The formats and content business is going through some interesting developments and in the past 16 months, I’ve seen that the demand for the very best in entertainment has never been stronger,” Arjan Pomper said.

Prior to starting his tenure with ITV, Pomper garnered experience through various international content and media leadership roles handling various regions, including of Netherlands, Middle East and Africa, among others. “Now, as Managing Director, I am honoured and excited to continue to work with the ITV Studios team, producers and our partners to take highly entertaining, brand defining, returnable shows and travel them around the world,” Pomper continued.
