ITV Studios’ reality dating show “Let Love Rule” is triumphing around the world and continues to build on its success with new commissions and strong seasons. Last Monday, the format premiered in the UK in the primetime slot of ITV2, under the local title “The Cabins”. A group of hopeful singletons who have never met immediately move in together in cozy and wintery cabins. The show is locally produced by 12Yard, part of ITV Studios.
Furthermore, soon Belgians will also enjoy this dating sensation, as it has been acquired by DPG Media to be produced by Dok1. The show is expected to air in Belgium next month with the local title “Blijven Slapen,” literally meaning “sleeping over”.
The Swedish version wrapped up a very successful first season. The show aired on both TV4’s VOD platform TV4 Play and their linear channel Sjuan. TV4’s strategy to online publish four episodes each week at once to promote binge watching proved successful. The show, which is consistently in the overnight top ten of TV4Play (excluding all news), is locally produced by ITV Studios Sweden.
In the Netherlands, where the format originated, this month the third season kicks off, co-produced by ITV Studios Netherlands and TEP. The Dutch version caters to all ages, as both young and old move into the apartment looking to find true love. And believe it or not: wedding bells are ringing, as two contestants of the first season have just announced their engagement.
