Kevin Beggs was named Chairman of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

Beggs succeeds Fred Cohen, who is stepping down but remaining as Foundation Chairman & Executive Committee Member, and his previous position as Treasurer of the Academy will be assumed by Bruce Tuchman, who is currently Secretary.

Kevin Beggs, Chair of the Lionsgate Television Group and Lionsgate Chief Content Integration Officer, has been named Chairman of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Beggs’ previous position as Treasurer of the Academy will be assumed by Bruce Tuchman, who is currently Secretary. The announcements were made today by International Academy President & CEO, Bruce L. Paisner who made the appointments under the International Academy by-laws.

“Kevin is a highly regarded industry leader who has been deeply involved in the activities of the International Academy since he joined the Executive Committee in 2009 and we are delighted he is now taking on the Chairmanship.” said Bruce L. Paisner, President & CEO, International Academy and Senior Advisor Hearst Entertainment & Syndication. "Fred and I have worked together at the International Academy for many years, and he has brought great imagination and thought to that role. I am glad he will continue to bring his wisdom and institutional knowledge to the International Academy.”
