Mediawan Kids & Family announced at Kidscreen 2024 its three new premium TV series distribution mandates, extending its 2500 half hours of catalog. Mediawan Kids & Family will distribute three new ambitious TV series internationally to strengthen its premium catalog of leading European youth animation studios further. This further consolidates Mediawan Kids & Family's position as a critical player in the distribution of youth catalogs.

"Maddie + Triggs," "The Specials," and "Idefix and the Indomitables" season 2 join a catalog of premium series produced by Mediawan Kids & Family's eight production labels (Method Animation, Somewhere Animation, Elliott Studio, Joann Sfar's Magical Society, Palomar Animation, Submarine, Wildseed Studios, Mediawan Kids & Family Cinema). "Maddie + Triggs," a preschool bridge series for children aged 4 to 7 years old (52 x 7'), is produced by Turnip + Duck, an award-winning writer-led creator studio from Ireland. It was Cartoon Forum 2022's standout project and has been commissioned by BBC's prestigious kids' network CBeebies in the UK and RTÉjr, Ireland's dedicated Children's broadcast service, where it originally began life as a podcast. Additional funding support comes from Coimisiún na Meán and Screen Ireland and animation tax breaks in both territories. Bristol-based indie Sun & Moon Studios will provide service animation. Presented in the form of a musical comedy, "Maddie + Triggs" follows the adventures of Maddie, a 7-year-old girl who happens to have a visual impairment, and her adorable dog Triggs, who together find music and adventure in the sounds of the everyday. Maddie + Triggs celebrates diversity & inclusion and demonstrates how being different can make you extraordinary. Already sold to SVT (Sweden) and YLE (Finland), the TV series embodies Mediawan's values, a group committed to sustainable actions promoting inclusion and diversity.
"The Specials," produced by Mediawan Finland, is a live-action-comedy TV series for children and teens aged 7 to 13 years old. It tells the daily life and adventures of a primary school class where six exceptional children study. Of course, every human being is unique in their way, but these are extraordinary. With solid ratings and proven success on YLE, our distribution team looks forward to extending its live-action slate and bringing this exciting show to market.
Studio 58, the producer of the series "Idefix and the Indomitables" (52x13'), adapted from Goscinny's and Uderzo's Astérix and Obélix, published by Editions Albert René, whose first season aired initially on France 4 and then on M6/GULLI in France, renews its trust in the company for the international distribution of the second season. Season 1 has successfully distributed deals in more than 45 countries, proving Mediawan Kids and Family's ability to distribute European brands internationally.
