KO Distribution confirms the release of the third season of KOTV’s acclaimed dramatic series, "Plan B" on CBC Gem in Canada, marking a significant milestone for the Canadian intellectual property, which has already established a huge international footprint with successful remakes in France, Belgium, and Germany.

The international success of "Plan B" is a testament to KOTV's strong storytelling. The French adaptation on TF1, the Belgian version on Streamz, and the German iteration on ZDF have all resonated deeply with audiences, solidifying the series' reputation as a compelling, high-concept drama with universal appeal. The launch of this new season further propels the series onto the world stage, with KO Distribution now bringing the new adaptation to the international market and this year’s forthcoming MIPCOM in Cannes.

"We are incredibly proud to see the 'Plan B' universe expanding and captivating audiences globally," says Mia Desroches, Vice-President, International Sales & Partnerships, KO Distribution. "This season introduces an emotionally charged narrative that we believe will resonate with viewers both in Canada and internationally. We are thrilled to continue with the show's legacy of success, and very excited to introduce this newest season to international broadcasters."

This powerful new season is an English-language adaptation of the celebrated KOTV original format which has garnered multiple prestigious international awards. The series stars Carolina Bartczak ("X-Men: Apocalypse"), who portrays Abigail Walker, a celebrated morning television host and women’s rights activist whose world is shattered after her 15-year-old daughter takes her own life. Consumed by grief, Abigail turns to the mysterious Plan B Agency, a service that allows her to travel back in time with a desperate mission: to prevent her daughter's death.

As Abigail attempts to shield her daughter from toxic relationships and influences, her actions create unforeseen ripples, impacting not only her daughter’s life but also the lives of those around them. The season delves into the profound themes of love, sacrifice, and the difficult acceptance of what is unchangeable.

Jean-François Asselin, who co-created the original French-language series with Jacques Drolet, co-directs with Marianne Farley, and also co-writes with Celeste Parr, for this English adaptation. Asselin & Parr also serve as Showrunners and Executive Producers, alongside Louis Morissette. The new season also features an impressive cast, including Arnold Pinnock ("The Porter"), Ennis Esmer ("Children Ruin Everything"), Arianna Shannon in her breakout role, and Jaeden Noel ("Orphan Black: Echoes").
