La Cabane and Thuristar reveal the star-studded cast for the international version of "A Lamb’s Stew", a 3D animated Special created and directed by Joeri Christiaen and produced by Perrine Gauthier. Andy Serkis ("The Lord of the Rings"), T’Nia Miller ("Sex Education") and Iris Onyejiuwa join in the lead roles.

Actor Andy Serkis joins the cast of this modern tale, which includes T’Nia Miller in the role of Miss Shearlington, and 11-year-old Iris Onyejiuwa in the role of Billie the young lamb. Other cast members include Keith Wickham, Harriet Carmichael, Tibby Radcliffe, Hal Radcliffe and Mackenzie Bruce-Lockhart.

The 26’ film tells the story of Billie, a young lamb determined to prove that sheep are just as brave as other animals. Billie sets out to lure a wolf into a trap, only to discover that he isn't the monster she thought he was... Through her journey, the film questions how preconceived ideas shape our worldviews. It invites viewers to embrace individuality… and to not judge a sheep by its wool, nor a wolf by its fur.

Produced in open-source software Blender, the Special is helmed by Joeri Christiaen ("Mush-Mush") as director and art director. Joeri Christiaen is also the film’s scriptwriter; he worked alongside Claire Paoletti ("Shoom's Odyssey") as story consultant during the project’s initial development phase, and Julia Smuts Louw ("Star Wars: Visions – Aau’s Song") as Script Editor for the final script.

“Andy Serkis’ work, particularly on Caesar in 'Planet of the Apes', was a source of inspiration for writing the character of the Wolf – although I didn’t dare imagine that he would one day play the role. As for T’Nia Miller, the quality of her performance in the teaser led me to make Miss Shearlington a central character in the story. I’m equally honoured to be working with Iris Onyejiuwa, who is playing her very first role in the film.”, says Joeri Christiaen, writer, director and artistic director of "A Lamb’s Stew".

"A Lamb’s Stew" is the first original Special developed by La Cabane and Thuristar. The companies have produced several Mush-Mush Specials previously, including “The Guardian of the Forest”, which was nominated for an International Emmy® Award in 2021.
