Slim Goodbody, who taught an entire generation of kids about the human body in the 1970s and 1980s, teams up with animation production company Luminous Blue to bring his unique brand of learning and discovery to a new generation of kids ages 5-8. The series will feature adventure-based characters that explore global health and wellness topics in a “laugh-out-loud,” and highly relatable way.

“I couldn’t be more excited to partner with Luminous Blue to bring the principles and joy of my work to the next generation of kids. Now, more than ever, families are looking for content that provides kids a highly engaging resource to better understand themselves and a source of connection to one another. I can’t wait to see how much fun kids will have with this new format,” says John Burstein, the original Slim Goodbody.

“We’d love kids from around the world to feel the same kind of wonder we felt with Slim Goodbody, but in a brand new, exciting format,” says John Edwards, Head of Story at Luminous Blue Limited.

Slim Goodbody, the costumed character created by John Burstein, has been championing children’s health for over forty years. Currently, his productions are seen by millions of children on Discovery Education. His live shows tour theaters around the country, reaching thousands of children every year. In addition, Slim is the author of fifty children’s books.

The agreement between Slim Goodbody Corp. and Luminous Blue Limited was brokered by Cookbook Media, a global franchise management agency headed by Claudia Scott-Hansen and Rob Bencal, who have partnered with Slim to manage the overall Slim brand.
