Globo will present “Never Give Up” to the European market during the MIPTV for the first time since the title aired in January."'Never Give Up' is a light telenovela, with an optimistic outlook and characters who believe that everything will work out in the end," Gabriel Doria, Sales Manager at Globo, said. "These are elements that engage diverse audiences and create a connection with those watching, so we are happy to be able to bring the work to European audiences. Rosane Svartman knows how to approach themes that speak to different audiences, so much so that 'Total Dreamer' and 'A Life Worth Living', two successes of the author, were very well received in the international market."
Rosane Svartman created and wrote the plot for "Never Give Up," working alongside Paulo Silvestrini, who will work as Artistic Director. The cast members list includes Sheron Menezes, Emílio Dantas, Samuel de Assis, Carolina Dieckmann, and José Loreto. During the first nine weeks of the production's exhibition in Brazil, it reached more than 30.5 million people per day, adding up all the exhibitions.
Combining contemporary themes, conflicts, humor, and romance, 'Never Give Up' tells the story of Sol, Sheron Menezzes' character, a woman of faith, and a mother, who runs after her dreams. Working as a food saleswoman, she sees her life change after becoming a dancer and backing vocalist for the pop singer, Lui Lorenzo. This turn of events leads Sol to reunite with Benjamin (Samuel de Assis), her youthful passion, and Theo (Emilio Dantas), a bad memories trigger.
"I decided to address issues that are present in society and need to be brought to light. Because I believe that telenovelas speaks to the society. After observing my previous works, I understood that the public wants to see characters closer to reality, with whom they identify, who make mistakes, get things right, and who, sometimes, are also contradictory," Rosane Svartman, who is also the author of 'Total dreamer' and 'A Life Worth Living,' said.
