As reported by Señal News on Friday, numerous series and film productions are being accelerated, delayed or suspended due to the global pandemic of coronavirus. During the last hours, several more shows have decided to shut down their production.

For instance, Indian media industry regulatory bodies met on Sunday and arrived at a unanimous decision to suspend production. The country, one of the biggest in terms of TV production, will temporarily stop all film, television and digital productions from March 19 through 30.

Furthermore, some of Netflix’s most popular series are going to be delayed due to the virus. “The Witcher”, for example, was being shot at Arborfield Studios to the west of London. The fantasy drama was paused for two weeks. Meanwhile, the fourth season of the sci-fi hit “Stranger Things” has also been suspended momentarily.

On the other hand, Disney has announced that production and pre-production on “The Last Duel,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings,” “Home Alone,” “Nightmare Alley,” “Peter Pan & Wendy,” and “Shrunk” have also been shut down “for a short time”.

Other shows, such as CBS’ “Survivor,” ABC Studios-produced “Grey’s Anatomy,” Nat Geo’s “Genius Aretha,” ABC’s “American Housewife,” Disney+’s “Big Shot,” Fox’s “Empire,” “The Resident” and “Last Man Standing,” FX’s “Pose” (Fox 21 TV), USA Network’s “Queen of the South,” and Hulu’s “The Orville,”  have postponed production.

To date, shooting had been completed on only one broadcast network pilot out of nearly 60: Warner’s “B Positive,” from Chuck Lorre and Marco Pennette. A few other pilots are near completion, such as Lionsgate’s “This Country” and Warner’s “Lost Boys”, so production on those shows is also likely to be completed.
