France's Oble joins “Tehran” producers Donna and Shula Productions for the upcoming dramedy series "(Re)Birth" (6x40’), which is in development with YES Studios for Israeli broadcaster YESTV. Oble, who co-produces the upcoming RTS and Netflix series "Winter Palace”, joins "(Re)Birth" as both co-producer and the series’ international distributor.

"(Re)Birth" is an intimate and moving dramedy that centers around Rona, a recent war widow and mother of two. When Rona discovers her late husband had his sperm frozen before his untimely death, she faces a harrowing dilemma: will she move on from her late husband and embrace a new chapter in her life, or will she decide to bring an orphan into the world, potentially impeding her own path to healing?

"We fell in love with the extraordinary woman at the heart of '(Re)Birth' and both her singular wit and resilience on her healing journey” says Katia Sol, co-founder of Oble. “The story stands out with its unique blend of comedy and drama, which brings a certain lightness to the intimate subjects it tackles, offering much-needed optimism in these uncertain times. We are thrilled to team up with such talented and creative writers and producers to bring '(Re)Birth' to life and to global audiences."

The series is written by creator Michal Kesten Keidar, whose personal story and experience with grief inspired the narrative, along with Elad Chen. "(Re)Birth" delves deep into themes of loss, grief, maternity, and the hope for new beginnings, all presented with a blend of humor and emotional depth.

Donna and Shula Productions’s producers Shula Spiegel and Dana Eden shared their enthusiasm for the project: "'(Re)Birth' is a heartfelt and relatable story that speaks to our relationship with death and life, as well as society's expectations of a grieving woman and mother. It's a deeply moving story portrayed through the eyes of a free-spirited and strong woman, and we are excited to bring Oble at the table as a new partner to tell this story."

Sharon Levi of YES Studios adds: "We are delighted to be working hand in hand with Oble’s innovative team and Donna and Shula Productions’ experienced producers. We are convinced this unique and compelling story which centers around an almost unspeakable human dilemma told from a heartfelt and humorous angle, will resonate with viewers around the world, bringing a wide array of emotion to their screen.”
