"Forever," translated as "Para Sempre," a telenovela distributed by Onza Distribution, has received a nomination in the Best Telenovela category at the 2023 International Emmy® Awards. The Portuguese telenovela produced by TVI and Plural Entertainment Portugal formed part of the list recently released by The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for its 51st edition. The year's Awards Gala is scheduled to take place on 20th November, 2023, in New York, where the winners will be revealed.
"Forever" stands alongside various other telenovela distributed by Onza Distribution, including "Payback," the Emmy-winning Best Telenovela in 2018, "Life Is A Party," which secured the Best Telenovela award at the 2022 Venice TV Awards and "On Thin Ice," which was also nominated for the International Emmys in 2020. The Portuguese telenovela garnered significant viewership numbers, resulting in the prime-time leader in Portugal on TVI in 2023. The title was also honored with the gold medal at the Venice TV Awards in the Soap Opera/Telenovela category.
Another recently nominated title from Onza Distribution's catalog is "Real Madrid, The White Legend," translated as "Real Madrid: La leyenda blanca." This documentary series has earned a nomination at the Venice TV Awards in the Sports category. Produced by Onza and Morrigan Films, the series captures the significant milestones and values that have turned Real Madrid Club de Fútbol into a legend, with broadcasting rights still available in multiple territories.
"Forever" portrays the life of Pedro, which has always been shrouded in mystery: he was abandoned as a child and grew up in a church. The only thing that has always made sense to him is his first love, Clara, but he had to part ways with her after a tragic event... Fate, however, will reunite them once more, and Pedro will set out to win back Clara, no matter the cost, even if she is engaged to his biological brother, the man he will save.
