Pact has appointed Ross Lewis to the role of Head of International and Projects. He will begin his new duties on 11th September. “We are looking forward to welcoming Ross to the Pact team," Pact CEO John McVay OBE, said. "He brings with him a wealth of knowledge from both the political and international sectors and many Pact members will already know him from the numerous events Ross has attended in his role at DIT."

Under his new role, Ross will be responsible for working with members across the UK to help them develop their export potential, discover global opportunities by addressing any trade barriers such as regulatory or access, and seeking to discover new business opportunities across key territories.  Ross will continue to deliver and manage existing Pact projects as well as identifying and developing new projects to help members to develop robust export strategies. He will also be tasked with building stakeholder relationships across the UK and overseas and representing Pact on key stakeholder advisory boards. “Over the past 15 years we have seen massive growth in international sales and it is important to us to continue to support indies in exporting overseas, and we are confident that with Ross on board, members will continue to benefit from Pact’s expertise.,"

Before accepting the position, Ross contributed to the Department for Business and Trade, where he has spent the past seven years as Senior Account Manager for Screen (Film and TV) & Publishing. During that time Ross managed relationships with all key industry associations including Pact and also the BFI, BFC, Film Export UK, Animation UK and UK Screen Alliance. Ross supported companies in the creative sectors to export and invest overseas, identifying and helping them overcome market access barriers. Ross also sits on the UK Global Screen Fund steering board with DCMS and BFI. "From Mipcom in 2016, through to Realscreen, Austin in 2023, working closely with Pact to deliver successful outputs for UK indies has been one of my career highlights," Ross said. "I am passionate about the screen sector and I am excited to join the dynamic Pact team, using my skills to unlock and promote innovative export opportunities for members."
