The 16-part series "Vina" is the Slovakian adaptation of the successful British crime drama "Broadchurch", starring David Tennant and Oscar-winner Olivia Colman. It was filmed in three countries,and was premiered on the streaming platform Voyo and on the Slovakian television channel TV Markíza.

The showrunner of VINA was Bence Trunkó, COO of Paprika Studios, who personally led the creative team behind the series.
"We believe that adapting a popular international format can only be successful if the creators can capture the thoughts and tastes of the local audience, and we approached "Vina" with this attitude. It was an exciting professional challenge to be part of the creative process and we were eagerly awaiting the moment when this compelling story would reach the viewers," added Bence Trunkó.
"Vina" is set in a picturesque small town whose peaceful life is shattered by the brutal murder of 11-year-old Daniel. The heinous crime irrevocably changes the lives of the townspeople, while the investigating officers uncover dark secrets in their hunt for the killer that the residents have kept hidden for years.
The production was filmed in three countries, in addition to the Slovakian locations, the crew worked in the Hungarian region of Szigetköz and shot scenes in Hainburg, Austria. Directed by Braňo Mišík and Braňo Holiček, the film stars Tomáš Maštalír and Gabriela Marcinková, and also features actress Vica Kerekes.
