The Propelle Content Accelerator initiative, a partnership between Realscreen and Abby Greensfelder’s Everywoman Studios, is welcoming a new partner to the fold for its next edition — A+E Networks.
Launched in 2020, the program supports up-and-coming women creators through project development and pitch mentorship designed to ensure more diverse voices are seen and heard in the non-fiction ecosystem. The new partnership will see A+E Networks work with Everywoman Studios and Realscreen to determine which creators entering the program will move forward to be mentored by leading female executives within the non-fiction and unscripted screen content industry; finalists will also gain invaluable industry access via a pass to the 2025 Realscreen Summit in Miami. The Propelle experience culminates in a private pitch session with A+E executives at the Realscreen Summit, where the winner will be awarded a $25,000 development deal.
Everywoman Studios CEO Abby Greensfelder defined the initiative as a win-win: “Bringing A+E Networks into the Propelle Accelerator ups the chances that the creators’ projects get made and brings outside-of-the-box projects and producers into the fold at A+E. So it’s a win-win and delivers on our goal of expanding access and opportunity for producers," commented.
Meanwhile, Realscreen EVP Mary Maddever indicated that the new deal establishes a leap in quality: "Our mission was to elevate Propelle’s reach and impact,. A+E’s support fulfills that, and signals a new phase for Propelle," stated.
Finally, Rob Sharenow, President of Programming for A+E Networks understands that the deal promotes new voices: “A+E Networks is thrilled to partner with Everywoman Studios and Realscreen on this exciting initiative. Empowering women to find meaningful creative opportunities is at the core of our business. This is a fantastic way to ensure that fresh new voices and perspectives are heard," explained.
