Rainmaker Content has agreed to distribute the 74th Emmy® Awards. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on 12 September in front of an exclusive invited audience at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. “There’s a special magic about the Emmys, and not just because this is old-school showbiz glamour at its best but as our growing list of global clients demonstrates, the Emmys also remind us that television entertainment crosses continents, cultures and divides, which has arguably never been more important," Vicky Ryan, co-Founder and Director of Rainmaker, said.
More than 155 territories have acquired the show, including returning clients like AMC Networks International (Central Europe), Turner (Latin America and German-speaking Europe), Sky UK, Sky Italia, U-NEXT Co., Ltd (Japan), Extension TV - Series Club (French-speaking Europe), DBS (Israel), Telefonica (Spain), M-Net (Africa), OSN (Middle East), TV2 (Denmark), Telenet (Belgium), OUTTV (Netherlands), HRT (Croatia), Catchplay (Singapore and Indonesia) and SIC (Portugal). The list of new clients inlcudes Cosmote TV (Greece) and Lionsgate (India, Philippines and Malaysia).
Committing to represent the Emmy's since 2020, Rainmaker has renewed its distribution term for a further four years, up to and including 2026, adding to the success of its catalog of live events."There’s a particular skill to ensuring live events find the most diverse of screens and viewers to help the Television Academy’s mission to honour those that lead by excellence and spread that message for the next four years," Ryan said.
The award show will be hosted by award-winning actor, comedian and producer Kenan Thompson. The three-hour ceremony will be telecast live nationwide on NBC and will also stream on Peacock. “Being a part of this incredible evening where we honour the best of the television community is ridiculously exciting, and to do it on NBC — my long-time network family — makes it even more special. Like all TV fans, I can’t wait to see the stars from my favourite shows," six-time Emmy nominee, Kenan Thompson said.
