Rubicon TV appoints new Executive Producer, Lars Gudmestad

The former Feelgood and Fantefilm writer and development producer will begin his new role in April 2023.

Banijay confirmed Norwegian scripted company, Rubicon TV's most recent appointment to be Lars Gudmestad, who joins the company as Executive Producer. Gudmestad will assume his new role in April 2023. “We are incredibly happy that Lars will now be part of our creative team," Ivar Køhn, CEO Rubicon TV said. "We strongly believe in having writers in the role of executive producers and having Lars in this new position will strengthen our opportunities to create original series for an ever-evolving market.”

Gudmestad is credited with contributing to various successful titles, including Norwegian Film Institute Amanda Award winner "Buddy," "Headhunter,""The Orheim Company," "Betrayed," the TV series "Next Summer" and "The King of Christmas." Before accepting his position with Rubicon TV,  the executive worked at Feelgood and Fantefilm as a writer and development producer.

Over the years, Rubicon TV has produced various high-profile, global programs, including "Lilyhammer," "Beforeigners," and "Countrymen," which won awards at BANFF’s The Rockies, as well as Cannes Series in 2022. The company is also behind the recently announced spy drama "E14 Unit for Special Intel" for TV2 Norway.
