RUSSIAN LEADING BROADCASTERS ACQUIRE FREMANTLE'S PREMIUM SHOWS

Fremantle has secured a new exclusive licensing deal with leading Russian broadcasters Viasat and More.TV that allows them to acquire a selection of Fremantle’s world-class new premium shows and library programming in 2020 and over the coming years, plus library volume commitments each year.

This multi-year agreement reflects our priority to help deliver an unparalleled curated range of premium content that will offer an exciting new addition for both channels and their SVOD services in this highly competitive market.”

Viasat Channels and ViP Play online cinema have picked up a collection of premium and library content from Fremantle, including critically acclaimed titles "The Young Pope" by Academy Award winning director Paolo Sorrentino, "Dublin Murders" from acclaimed series creator and writer Sarah Phelps, the internationally award-winning spy series’ "Deutschland83’" and "Deutschland86’" created by Anna Winger and Jörg Winger, plus an exclusive collection of brand new primetime dramas. This includes Chilean psychological thriller "La Jauria" from Fremantle and acclaimed producers Pablo and Juan de Dios Larrain, historical drama "The Windermere Children" which tells the harrowing and ultimately life-affirming story of Holocaust children who were relocated and rehabilitated in the UK after World War II and "The Sister" from Euston Films (a Fremantle company), adapted from the Neil Cross thriller novel “Burial”.

The deal with More.TV will also see their viewers get access to a number of first-class series in 2020, including "Picnic At Hanging Rock", the gripping reimagining of the iconic Joan Lindsay novel, "Hard Sun", the pre-apocalyptic drama from Neil Cross, as well as "Dublin Murders", "Deutschland83" and "Deutschland86".

More TV will offer exclusive first-run screenings for new series including "We Are Who We Are", a new coming-of-age story from Luca Guadagnino set on an American military base, "The Investigation", the highly anticipated six-part series following the complex investigation surrounding the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, middle Eastern war thriller "No Man’s Land" which takes viewers on a young Frenchman’s journey in search of his presumed dead sister in the midst of the Syrian conflict, and "Deutschland ’89", the much-awaited final season of the nationally and internationally award-winning spy series.
