Spain's Secuoya Studios and the Icelandic production company Act4 have signed a first-look deal for the development and co-production of premium series. This pact marks the beginning of a relationship between Spanish and Icelandic audiovisual companies focused on fiction content, thereby consolidating a new avenue for international cooperation within the sector. This agreement is part of Secuoya Studios' ambitious internationalization strategy, which aims to have 30% of its catalogue produced in languages other than Spanish by 2027.

The collaboration with Act4 aligns with this vision, bringing a partner with solid experience in multilingual productions, a deep understanding of the Nordic market, and a proven track record in developing innovative and high-quality projects. "This partnership represents a key step in our international roadmap. As a leading pan-regional Nordic player, Act4 shares with us a creative and strategic vision that prioritizes quality, diversity, and global reach. We are excited about what we can build together," said Brendan Fitzgerald, CEO of Secuoya Studios.

Iceland has established itself as a highly attractive environment for international co-productions, thanks to tax incentives of up to 35% of production costs, a strong reputation as a creative hub, and an extraordinary diversity of natural locations. Act4‘s in-depth knowledge of these resources - particularly in terms of financial structures, regulatory frameworks, and international collaboration dynamics - is a natural fit with Secuoya Studios’ production philosophy and operational approach. "Partnering with Secuoya Studios is not only a prestigious recognition of ACT4’s operations and success, but also a key factor in strengthening our vision and strategy for a greater reach across the Nordics," said Jónas Margeir Ingólfsson, CEO of ACT4.

This new agreement follows the previous announcement, in which Secuoya Studios confirmed its alliance with BlackBox Multimedia in the UK and with Sydney Gallonde in France, consolidating its presence in these important markets. Together, these alliances demonstrate the Spanish studio's firm commitment to establishing a solid network of international partners, enabling the simultaneous development of multiple projects in different territories and languages, and ensuring that each story receives the time and resources necessary to maximize its impact.
